Games I’m Looking Forward to in the Month of October

Texas vs. Oklahoma (October 2nd) It doesn’t get any better than The Red River Rivalry. Last year Texas narrowly pulled out a 3-point victory. Even though Texas has won this matchup the last four out of five years I think it’s Oklahoma’s time to celebrate.

Nebraska vs. Texas (October 16th) I was watching this game last year and thought Nebraska was actually going to pull off the upset. Bo Pelini ran out onto the field thinking the same thing; but when the officials said Colt McCoy’s pass (prior to the game winning field goal) went out of bounds with :01 second left we both knew it wasn’t meant to be. This year the Longhorns travel to Nebraska in the Cornhuskers’ home opener. I wish I were going to this game, it’s going to be ROWDY out there in Lincoln.

Wisconsin vs. Ohio State (October 16th) This matchup quite possibly could have 1st place implications on the line. Ohio State always gets up for big games and I know this game will be no different. The Badgers have been a solid squad but they always lose 1 or 2 games that make you scratch your head. I already know Camp Randall is gonna be bumpin’. Is this the year Wisconsin pulls the trigger and becomes a legit contender?

NC State vs. Florida State (October 28th) NC State and Florida State always play each other tight. I still haven’t come off my high from when the Wolfpack spanked the #2 Seminoles back in 1998. Boy, the Cherry’s sure were eating GOOD that week!

Clemson at Boston College (October 30th) Lately, these two teams have dominated the Atlantic and this year is probably going to be no different. BC returns a pretty deep roster and Clemson should still be dangerous. The loss of Spiller might actually create more opportunities for the offense instead of defenses targeting your whole team, in CJ Spiller.
